TURLEY | ZINFANDEL
California's most celebrated Zinfandel specialist, cherry pie, raspberry, and jammy heritage from 18 old-vine vineyards.
Turley Wine Cellars has been California's most important advocate for old-vine Zinfandel since Larry Turley founded the winery in 1993. Based in Templeton, Paso Robles, Turley sources from some of California's oldest head-trained and own-rooted Zinfandel vineyards, some dating to the 1850s, saving them from destruction and producing wines that are irreplaceable expressions of California viticultural heritage.
This Zinfandel is sourced from 18 heritage vineyards across California, producing a wine of energy and genuine character: bright cherry pie, raspberry, and jammy dark berry on the nose, with warm spice, briar, and a zesty, vibrant finish. The wine is full-flavored and expressive without being heavy, a testament to Turley's philosophy that old vines naturally regulate their yield to produce concentrated, balanced fruit.
The Juvenile Zinfandel was named #14 on Wine Spectator's Top 100 Wines of 2024, with 93 points. Turley wines consistently earn 90+ across multiple publications.
Pairs well with: BBQ, Pizza, Grilled Sausage, Braised Beef, Aged Cheddar

Meet The Maker
Larry Turley founded Turley Wine Cellars in 1993 with a mission to protect and celebrate California's most endangered vineyards, the old, head-trained, own-rooted Zinfandel vines that were being pulled out across the state as growers replaced them with more commercially convenient varieties. Today, under winemaker Tegan Passalacqua, Turley produces nearly 30 single-vineyard Zinfandels, each a distinct expression of its source site. The winery is widely considered the standard-bearer for California Zinfandel, earning consistent praise from Wine Spectator, Robert Parker, and Vinous.
