King Family Vineyards' Crosé is a 100% Merlot rosé from the estate's vineyards in Crozet, Virginia, at the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in the Monticello AVA. Winemaker Matthieu Finot, a Rhone Valley native who trained across Bordeaux, Burgundy, and Provence, brings an unmistakably French sensibility to the Monticello terroir, producing a Merlot rosé with the precision and restraint of Provence and the honest fruit character of Virginia.
The wine is dry and vibrant, with fresh strawberry, ripe melon, and a delicate floral note on the nose. The palate is clean, lively, and refreshing, crisp acidity, light body, and a clean finish that invites another glass. Meet The Maker
King Family Vineyards is one of Virginia's most celebrated and decorated wineries. Founded by David and Ellen King in the late 1990s and located in Crozet at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains, the estate produces ultra-premium Monticello AVA wines under the guidance of winemaker Matthieu Finot, who joined the team in 2007. Finot, who grew up in France's Crozes-Hermitage region and trained extensively across the Old World, has brought an uncompromising standard to Virginia winemaking that has earned King Family multiple Virginia Governor's Cup awards, including the overall Cup winner in 2024.
