Grochau Cellars Commuter Cuvée Pinot Noir
Light, elegant Oregon Pinot with bright cherry and earthy spice, the perfect end-of-day companion.
Grochau Cellars is a small-production winery in the Willamette Valley, founded by John Grochau with a focus on Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris from carefully selected Oregon vineyard sites. The Commuter Cuvee is Grochau's entry-level Pinot, a wine designed for immediate pleasure rather than the cellar, named for the winemaker's daily commute and built to be opened without occasion.
The wine is unmistakably Oregon: light to medium in body, with a bright nose of red cherry, cranberry, and a hint of spice and forest floor. The palate is fresh and elegant, with silky tannins and a clean, zesty finish that makes it as easy to pour on a Tuesday as it is to bring to a friend's dinner. Chilled slightly, it is beautiful with salmon or charcuterie; at room temperature, it opens beautifully alongside roasted poultry or mushroom dishes.
Pairs well with: Salmon, Roasted Chicken, Charcuterie, Wild Mushrooms, Soft Goat Cheese
This is the wine for your commute home, metaphorically speaking. Open it, settle in, and let the day go.

Meet The Maker
John Grochau founded Grochau Cellars in the Willamette Valley with a clear purpose: make honest, varietal-driven wines that offer genuine pleasure without demanding reverence. His Commuter Cuvee reflects that philosophy perfectly, a Pinot Noir made for real life, not for a special occasion. Grochau works with select Oregon vineyard sites, focusing on clean, expressive fruit and minimal intervention to let the Willamette Valley's naturally elegant character speak for itself.
