Certified biodynamic, horse-plowed, and genuinely exceptional, strawberry, pomegranate, and a clean conscience.

Chateau Maris is no ordinary French rosé. Located in La Liviniere in the Languedoc, the first vineyard in its appellation to achieve biodynamic certification, this estate is the life's work of British-born winemaker Robert Eden, who rebuilt exhausted soils through years of biodynamic farming and built the world's only wine cellar constructed from hemp blocks. Wine Spectator has called the estate 'the biodynamic apostles of the Languedoc.'

Made from estate-grown Grenache Gris, the rosé is pressed directly without skin contact, revealing a pale salmon color and a clean, generous nose of fresh strawberry, pomegranate, and a touch of mineral freshness. The palate is dry, lively, and impressively precise, not the heavy, fruit-forward Provence style, but something more structured and food-focused. The vineyard's biodynamic practices, including hand harvesting and horse plowing, produce grapes with genuine vitality that shows in every sip.

Rated 91 points by Wine Enthusiast (2024 vintage). Certified biodynamic by Demeter, Biodyvin, and Ecocert; Europe's first B Corp winery.

Pairs well with: Grilled Seafood, Provencal Dishes, Goat Cheese, Ratatouille, Oysters

Good wine and a good conscience in the same bottle. Chateau Maris is the one you feel great about opening.

Meet The Maker

Robert Eden arrived in the Languedoc from Britain in the late 1990s and transformed a chemically exhausted estate into one of France's most remarkable biodynamic wine operations. Chateau Maris holds certifications from Demeter, Biodyvin, and Ecocert, and was the first European winery to earn B Corp certification. The estate's cellar, the only building in existence constructed from hemp blocks, is a working demonstration of Eden's conviction that wine and environmental responsibility are inseparable. Wine Spectator has recognized the estate's climate leadership; Robert Parker's Wine Advocate has praised the wines consistently.
