Belle Glos Clark & Telephone Pinot Noir
The Pinot Noir that Cabernet drinkers love, bold, lush, and built for the table.
Belle Glos Clark and Telephone Vineyard Pinot Noir comes from one of California's most storied single-vineyard sites, a 52-year-old own-rooted planting of the rare Martini clone at the corner of Clark Avenue and Telephone Road in the Santa Maria Valley. Located just 13 miles from the Pacific Ocean, the west-facing vineyard draws cool marine fog and ocean breezes through August, creating a long, slow growing season that produces small, intensely flavored berries.
The wine is made by Joe Wagner, fifth-generation Napa Valley winemaker and grandson of Lorna Belle Glos Wagner, for whom the label is named. After destemming and a 14-day cold soak, fermentation occurs in a combination of open and closed-top stainless steel tanks before moving to French oak for aging. The result is a Pinot Noir that pushes the boundaries of the variety in the best way: deep ruby color, aromas of dark cherry, boysenberry, roasted spice, and cocoa, with a bold, lush palate of baked blackberry, clove, and cardamom. Food-friendly with roasted meats and salmon, but honestly most at home as the star of the evening.
Rated 92 points by Wine Enthusiast (2022 vintage). The 2010 vintage was named Wine Spectator Top 100 #77.
Pairs well with:
Roasted Leg of Lamb, Grilled Salmon, Duck Confit, Aged Gruyere, Holiday Roasts
A bottle of Belle Glos is the kind of gift people remember. It makes an impression every time.

Meet The Maker
Belle Glos was founded by Joe Wagner, a fifth-generation Napa Valley winemaker, as a tribute to his grandmother Lorna Belle Glos Wagner, a co-founder of Caymus Vineyards who was herself a devoted Pinot Noir lover. Joe launched Belle Glos to craft the boldest expressions of California's finest coastal Pinot Noir vineyards. By choosing single-vineyard sites near the Pacific Ocean, he captures the unique character of each location, the fog, wind, and soil that make each bottle unique. Clark and Telephone remains Belle Glos's most celebrated vineyard: an own-rooted Martini clone site planted in 1972 that produces wines of singular depth and character.
