Meet The Maker
Champagne André Clouet is a producer of Champagne located in the grand cru village of Bouzy. Its wines are made exclusively from Pinot Noir and are prized for their richness and concentration.
The estate owns 20 acres of vineyard land on preferred mid-slopes in the villages of Bouzy and Ambonnay in the Montagne de Reims. The vineyards are composed of Champagne's famous chalk soils and planted entirely with Pinot Noir.
The estate is now owned by Jean-François Clouet, a Bouzy native with a family history in the region dating prior to the 17th Century. 1741 is marked as the foundation of the house of André; the family took several centuries to build the portfolio of vineyard holdings.
